NEPTUNIAN MAXIMALISM — Le Sacre Du Soleil Invaincu
Maximalistas até no nome, os belgas do Neptunian Maximalism lançam seu terceiro trabalho misturando avant-garde, doom/drone metal, space rock e música indiana. Le Sacre Du Soleil Invaincu foi gravado em uma catedral inglesa, tendo como temas três ragas indianos clássicos cobertos por camadas de psicodelia noise. Assim como a estreia Eons (2020), Le Sacre Du Soleil Invaincu é um disco triplo de quase duas horas de viagens densas e dissonantes que expandem ainda mais as fronteiras do metal experimental.

THE EX — If Your Mirror Breaks
Veterana banda holandesa na ativa desde 1979, The Ex nasceu anarco-punk mas aos poucos foi abrindo caminhos mais experimentais, misturando post-punk, no wave, jazz-punk e math-rock. If Your Mirror Breaks, seu décimo-nono trabalho, tem uma singela dedicatória: “Steve Albini, whom the album is dedicated to, would have approved”. Teria aprovado mesmo.

THE JESUS LIZARD — Flux
Rack (2024) foi o grande álbum da volta do The Jesus Lizard, lançado depois de 25 anos sem material inédito. Com ideias sobrando, a banda separou mais três inéditas para Flux, um EP especialmente produzido para o Record Store Day 2025. O som é o Jesus Lizard de sempre — um noise-rock torto e agressivo com os vocais incompreensíveis do David Yow. Que venham mais inéditas.

Já “Pretty Pigs” mistura a frieza do shoegaze com a batida caliente do reggaeton, soando como uma espécie de mashup do Slowdive com a Rosalía. Perfeito para dançar olhando para os pés.
